A thought for you.
They would have wanted Jesus to appear respectable and would have done their best to 'lose' the story of the virgin birth. The fact that Matthew and Luke stuck to it argues for its truth.

Welcome to our website! Faith isn't just an act; it's something you live—something huge and sometimes unimaginable. So we at the Navs see ourselves as a group of students committed to exploring and discovering life through faith, with the audacious goal of applying Jesus' teachings to everyday life. We also aim to journey with those who want to discover more about faith and ask questions in a safe atmosphere. It is our humble conviction that there is an active and accepting God who offers hope and love to us all! We believe that people are looking for an authentic Christianity before they are willing to believe. So we seek to help everyone to get a glimpse of this God as we too learn more about him. And by meeting together we help each other to do this better than we can alone. We also want to provide a place here at UVic where people hang out and seek to build genuine community - a place where we can be authentic with one another. Our regular events include big group get-togethers, small group Bible studies, community service events, retreats and conferences. We invite you to join our community! Questions? Wanna meet for a coffee to talk about the challenges you face with making your faith real on campus? Please e-mail us at uvicnavs@gmail.com Hope to meet you soon!
