"One of the best ways to lead people into a willing spirit is to model it. That involves things like reaching out without being invited and sensing deep hurts without being told. This is a telltale sign of authentic servant-giving. It is impossible to give of ourselves at arms length. Personal involvement is essential, not incidental."

What is the Small Groups Network and who is it for?

SGN is designed for Pastors responsible for small groups, or small group ministry coordinators. We come together three times over the year for Regional Network Forums throughout Southern Ontario- meaningful interaction using focused topic discussions and case studies; sharing ideas, strategies and resources to become more effective as ministry leaders. We also sponsor leadership training through seminars and conferences.

You can keep updated on the upcoming meetings and events by revisiting this website. Regional Network forum's are being planned now for this fall. While the Network Forums are for members and invited guests only, we provide an event called a Symposium, that is open to all churches and leaders.

This years SGN Symposium with Scott Boren was attended by 80 leaders from over 40 churches. A summary report can be read using the link at the bottom of this page, plus listen to Scott Boren's Symposium presentation. Plans are underway for the 2010 Symposium.

Watch the SMALL GROUP SUMMIT - Lifeway brought together ten of today’s most well-known leaders in small group ministry and the next generation’s rising stars come together to discuss the small group ministry.
