How is my conference fee being paid?
- If you have travel savings: 2 equal installments (March and June)
- Insufficient or no travel savings: cash on hand will be used
- Insufficient cash on hand: a payment plan will need to be proposed and approved by your supervisor and notify Laura van Zanden.
What items can I submit for reimbursement?
- Travel: Your Flight, or gas if driving, up to a max reimbursement of $1000/pp return. You will NOT be reimbursed for mileage.
- Meals not covered by the conference fee (2 lunches and 2 dinners)
- Meals on route to and from the conference
- Baggage fees charged by the airlines
- Activities/meetings attended as a work team (2 or more people) outside of those in the program. “Ministry and hospitality” is an appropriate expense, but it needs to be connected to your job. In this case, it would be building relationships with your co-workers or networking.
Submit all of the above on your expense report EXCEPT flight or original gas receipts, which you need to submit separately to Laura van Zanden.
Will there be childcare?
No childcare is planned. Nursing infants will be gladly welcomed.

I don’t want to attend – is this a requirement?
For staff and associates, this pre-conference and Advance conference are mandatory. This is a rare time of connection within the Navigators and it is important everyone shares the experience and brings their voice and ministry to the table. This time also doubles as professional development, which is very important.
How can I reserve additional nights in Blue Mountain?
The conference room rate is $129 per night (plus tax) for up to four occupants. You may reserve additional nights for your personal stay at the same rate based upon availability (Check availability here). Please mention The Navigators for the group discount rate when you book additional nights

May I invite donors and/or ministry partners?

The Advance Conference is designed for anyone living out or interested in the Navigators mission.
